Why are we doing this?
It all began with a dream.
What if we actually helped bartenders instead of created more barriers?
We all have so many amazing recipes for drinks, syrups, infusions, bitters, airs, etc. But the problem is that there isn’t an easy way to access them and then recreate them. Sure, you can find drink recipes, but what about everything else?
Not to mention, most bar programs are secretive about this information because they want to keep their intellectual property to keep guests coming back. We get it.
But we want to break that. We want to make everything free and easy to use for hospitality professionals everywhere.
That’s where Spec comes in. Spec is an app that allows you to view recipes for cocktails and everything else that goes into them. You can search by ingredients, spirits, flavor profiles, and everything else in between to make it easier. A guest wants a spicy bourbon cocktail? We’ve got you covered. Tropical frozen drink with peanut butter? We’ve got that too.
Our goal is to have bartenders from all over the country send in their recipes so that we can grow this organically with amazing recipes from all over the planet. The more we work together, the better it will be. We’re really excited to share this with you and we hope you enjoy it too!
